Diseases Caused by Parasitic helminths Worms – Class 12 | Chapter – 8 | Biology Short Notes Series PDF

Diseases Caused by Parasitic helminths Worms: Parasitic helminths are a group of worms that live and feed on the host organisms. They can cause a range of diseases in humans, including intestinal infections, lymphatic filariasis, and schistosomiasis, among others. Helminths can enter the human body through contaminated food, water, or soil and can survive and multiply in the host’s body for many years. In some cases, they can also cause long-term health problems. Treatment for helminth infections typically involves the use of anti-parasitic drugs. Preventive measures include improving hygiene, sanitary conditions, and access to clean water, as well as properly cooking food.
