CUET Exam 2023: Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is an entrance exam to get admission in Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in one of the 4 state universities and 14 Central Universities in India. Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is conducted every year by National Testing Agency. The exam is conducted once a year in over 500 cities in India and abroad. The exam is conducted in a computer-based mode for two hours. Originally CUCET was conducted by UGC in paper-pencil based mode. Last year onwards, NTA is conducting the test in a computer-based mode.
CUET 2023 scores will be accepted by over 53 Central Universities including Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Jamia Milia Islamia, Aligarh Muslim University, Visva Bharati University, Central University of Tamil Nadu, University of Hyderabad, Central University of Kerala, Central University of Punjab, among others. The Central Government has announced that it has decided to exempt Central Universities in the Northeastern States and Uttarakhand from conducting the exam due to operational difficulties.
The exam will be conducted in 547 cities within India and 13 cities abroad. Last year a total of 97,416 candidates appeared for the exam held at 308 centres in 161 cities across the country.

CUET Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the Central Universities in order to apply and appear for CUET 2023. The eligibility parameters are as follows:
- Students will need to have passed Class 12 from a recognised board in Science stream to take admission to bachelor’s degree programmes in the Central Universities.
- For the General category, the candidate needs to secure a minimum of 50 per cent in Class 12, for SC/ST, candidates need to have secured a minimum of 45 per cent in Class 12 in order to be eligible for the CUET 2023. For BTech programmes, the minimum aggregate for the General category candidates is 45 per cent and that of the reserved category candidates is 40 per cent.
