SSC CHSL Salary 2024: Perks and Allowances
The Staff Selection Commission offers SSC CHSL Salary with various allowances to employees holding positions such as LDC/JSA/PA/SA/DEO through the SSC CHSL Exam. These allowances serve to enhance the overall salary package and provide additional benefits to the selected candidates.
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): HRA, short for House Rent Allowance, is provided as reimbursement for accommodation expenses and varies based on the city of posting.
- Transport Allowance (TA): The Transport Allowance is granted to meet the daily commuting needs of employees. Those posted in cities receive Rs. 3600 as TA, while employees stationed in other locations receive Rs. 1800 as TA.
- Dearness Allowance (DA): DA is a cost-of-living adjustment provided to employees. As per the 7th Pay Commission, the current DA rate is 17% of the basic pay. The union cabinet had increased the Dearness Allowance to this rate in October 2019.
- Leave Travel Concession (LTC): The Leave Travel Concession is an allowance that enables Central Government employees to travel to their hometown or other parts of the country with reimbursement benefits.
