Locule: The ovary consists of a chamber called the locule. Ovaries of some plants may have more than one locule. If there is one locule, the ovary is described as unilocular, if it is two, then bilocular, if there are three, it is trilocular and so on. Ovary is trilocular in Allium (onion), bilocular in Solanum nigrum (makoi) and Brassica nigra (mustard). Ovary is unilocular in Pisum sativum (pea plant).
