Infectious and Non Infectious diseases: Infectious disease refers to the disease that is caused by infectious agents like bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and viruses, and can easily be transmitted from one person to another if come in contact. Non-infectious disease refers to a disease that is not caused by any infectious agent and cannot be transmitted from person to person.
Diseases caused by microorganisms including bacteria, viruses, fungus, and protozoa are referred to as infectious diseases. They are also known as communicable diseases because they can be transmitted from one person to another by means of things like contaminated air, food, water, vectors, etc.
It can be classified based on the infectious agent causing the disease. The primary categories are listed below:
Viral Infections
Non-infectious diseases are those diseases that do not spread from one organism to another. These diseases are also referred to as non-communicable diseases. They are typically caused by internal body dysfunction.
